I am Dr. France Frederick, a licensed clinical psychologist. I work with professionals, business owners, and high-functioning people across Alabama by secure video, and I have done this work for more than twenty years.
Why professionals choose telehealth
Two reasons, usually. The first is time. A video session fits into a calendar that does not have room for a commute and a waiting room. You can take it from a closed office door or from home between obligations. The second is discretion. For people whose name carries weight in a small market, walking into a local practice is its own kind of exposure. Video removes that, and the privacy itself is often what finally makes the call possible.

Therapy with a psychologist, not an app
You work with me, the same person, every session. I am a doctoral-level clinical psychologist, not a name pulled from a queue and rotated when someone is unavailable. For people who are used to being the most capable person in the room, that depth matters. You are not looking for cheerleading. You are looking for someone trained to see the patterns you cannot see from inside your own head, and honest enough to name them.
Confidentiality
What you share stays between us, with the standard legal exceptions. If you pay privately rather than through insurance, your care does not generate an insurance record at all. For many professionals, that privacy is not a detail. It is the condition that makes the work possible.
How telehealth works
A secure browser link arrives before each session. No app to download. Sessions are fifty minutes, the first is ninety, and most clients begin weekly and move to every other week as the work takes hold. Because telehealth is licensed at the state level, I can see anyone physically located in Alabama.
Insurance and fees
I file claims with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama as a non-participating provider. Whatever BCBSAL pays is credited against the full session fee, and you are responsible for the difference. For all other carriers I am out of network. You pay the full fee at the time of service and can submit a superbill, provided on request, for any out-of-network reimbursement your plan allows. Specific fees are discussed during the first phone call.
