Based in Fairhope, Alabama. I work with clients across the Eastern Shore (Daphne, Spanish Fort, Mobile, Point Clear) and offer telehealth to residents throughout Alabama.
Background
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego, with postdoctoral training in child psychotherapy (1995) and adolescent and adult therapy (1996). Alabama Licensed Psychologist #946.
I've spent more than two decades in private practice on the Eastern Shore. Earlier in my career I held an academic appointment in San Diego; today my work is clinical, local, and full-time.
Philosophy
Therapy works when the room feels safe enough to be honest. My job is to make that possible (confidential, supportive, without judgment) and then to help you make sense of what you find. I am warm, respectful, and direct. The treatment is shaped to what is actually in front of us, not to a manual.
I welcome clients across the lifespan, from children (6+) and adolescents to adults and seniors. I keep a small caseload so each client gets focused attention.
For more on how I work, including session structure, modalities, and what a first appointment looks like, see my approach.
What I Help With
My practice supports clients with a wide range of concerns, including couples therapy, family conflict resolution, child and adolescent therapy, individual therapy for depression and anxiety, and psychological testing and evaluation.
I welcome clients from Fairhope, Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Mobile, and nearby Alabama communities, in-person at the Fels Avenue office or via telehealth.
Currently accepting new clients on a limited basis.
