The short version

This site collects what you choose to send through the contact form, plus anonymous statistics about how visitors use the site. I don't sell visitor information, I don't use it for advertising, and the site doesn't show ads. This policy covers the website only. Anything you share once you become a client is part of your clinical record and is protected by the confidentiality rules of my profession and by the paperwork we review together at your first appointment.

The contact form

The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, and a message. When you submit it, the form is processed by Formspree, a form service, and delivered to my email so I can reply to you. Formspree also keeps a copy of the submission in my account.

Email and web forms are not the right place for detailed clinical information. A sentence or two about what brings you in is plenty. We can talk through the rest by phone, where it stays between us.

If you'd like a message you sent through the form deleted, call me at 251-751-0765 and I'll remove it.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to show me, in aggregate, how people find and use it: which pages are visited, which site or search brought someone here, the general area a visit comes from (city or region, not an address), and the type of device. It also counts when someone taps a phone number or sends the contact form. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell one visit from another.

These reports are statistics. They don't tell me who you are, and they aren't connected to anything you write in the contact form. If you'd rather not be counted, you can block cookies in your browser or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

The client portal

The Client Portal link opens SimplePractice, the secure system I use for scheduling, forms, and billing for current clients. It is a separate service with its own privacy policy and security practices. Nothing from the portal flows back into this website.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel keeps short-term technical logs of requests (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. I don't use those logs to identify visitors.

Google Business Profile reporting

The practice uses a private reporting connection to Google's Business Profile APIs to read performance figures for its own Google listing: how often the listing is seen, website clicks, calls, direction requests, and the search terms that surfaced it. Google reports these figures as totals. They contain no information about individual people.

The connection is used only to understand how people find the practice. The data is not sold, shared for advertising, or used for any other purpose, and the connection can be revoked at any time from the Google account that authorized it. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

I work with children ages 6 and up, but this site is written for adults. When a child is the client, a parent or guardian makes the first contact. Please don't have a child submit the contact form.
